OUR HERD

foundation females

When building our herd, we knew we wanted to start from a consistent and potent cow family. One that was assembled from a long line of prominent, productive females. This lead us to the 520 cow family, and to our first foundation females, Savannah 931 & Aurora 093.

When we first saw Savannah 931, we knew she’d be our foundation female. She has the power and presence needed in the show ring paired with the udder quality & proven longevity to pass on looks that last. We believe show heifers need to make cows, and that’s what this female will accomplish.

It’s easy to find Aurora in the pasture. She has an attractive, athletic build and deep maternal body shape that catches your eye immediately. We are excited about her mating versatility as she covers all the fundamentals of longevity without sacrificing any look of quality.

520 COW FAMILY

Our herd is built upon an incredible foundation, the 520 Angus cow family. The maternal matriarch 520 most notably produced Miss Dominatrix 236A, dam of Memphis Mafia, as well as numerous successful heifer campaigns across the country. 520’s combination of ideal build and impressive body shape has been consistent through her daughters and grand-daughters including Savannah 931.

BRENT, TARA, KAILEY, KIARA, KATIE, & MAX BECK

These pedigrees go back to the breeding knowledge and expertise of Beck Angus.

Dr. Brent Beck was Daniel's embryologist growing up in Wisconsin, while operating Walsh Cattle. Doc Beck quickly became Daniel's inspiration to become an embryologist, and we still believe he's the best in the business.

Through their embryology business, Brent and Tara were able to view many operations’ top end donors and note the qualities they desired. This selection process led to the creation of the 520 cow family, in which we are building our cow base from.

The Beck family have since assembled one of most impressive angus operations in the Midwest. They established the cow families that are the origins of females such as Blind Badger’s Miss Dominatrix and prominent sires Tour of Duty and Active Duty

Beyond our similar views on cattle, we appreciate the Beck's family's strong love for Christ which very evidently leads how they conduct life and business. We admire their story of starting their herd with only two cows while dating, and appreciate their friendship and kindness more than they will ever know.
